This is called a slippery slope, is it not? My rhetoric is slightly rusty, yet I do think I have enough braincells left to refrain from comparing human equality to bestiality, and love of a person to love of a foodstuff.
If I could tell the Dumbass Machine three things, I would say:
1) So would rape within the context of a marriage be okay, as long as the “meaning” of marriage is not diluted by The Gays? Since, you know, marriage should not be about loving attraction, but rather (I can assume) procreation and as long as that happens nothing else should be considered in the equation.
2) I may love ice cream but marriage to something that melts will end tragically for both parties.
3) Yes, we really shouldn’t equate marriage with such a positive thing as “affirming loving feelings of attraction” because many straight married couples I know would rather lovingly affirm their need to stab each other with a fork.
… because I am attracted to ice cream.
